Letter from the governor of Montana when I was first traditionally published.

Hello readers!

From an early age, growing up on a Green Gables–style farm, I fell
headfirst into the world of imagination. Whether I was riding horses, bottle feeding baby lambs, or reading in sun-dappled pastures alongside curious peacocks we raised, stories seemed to rise up from the earth around me. I've often wondered if it was my strong Scottish or Irish roots that blessed me with so much creativity or a talent handed down by an ancestor. Whatever the case, that early enchantment blossomed into a lifelong passion—and eventually, a fulfilling career as both a traditionally published author and a produced screenwriter.

My path was further enriched by a graduate degree in film and television, which opened the doors to exciting collaborations with major networks and studios. Over the years, I’ve worn many creative hats: screenwriter, producer, film consultant, and screenwriting judge—all of which have deepened my love for storytelling and the magic behind the scenes. Folklore and myth have always lit the spark of my imagination. I delight in bringing ancient legends and mystical creatures to life, weaving tales that whisk readers away to worlds where wonder still reigns and anything is possible.
